CLB-501B

CLB-501B Camera Link Breakout Box
Vivid Engineering CLB-501B
Vivid Engineering CLB-501B
The CLB-501B Camera Link Breakout Box provides convenient access to the data transferred between camera and frame grabber over a Camera Link connection.  All video, control, and communication data can be monitored and/or sourced via a standard header connector located on the rear panel.
CLB-501B incorporates high-speed 85MHz interfaces and is compatible with all Camera Link “base” configuration cameras.  A front-panel link status indicator identifies an active connection.
The CLB-501B is housed in a sturdy, compact aluminum enclosure.  A locking-plug power supply is optional.

Need a breakout for medium, full, or 80-bit configuration?  Simply combine the CLB-501B with our CLR-111A Repeater.  Running the "base" cable through the CLB-501B and the "full" cable through the CLR-111A will equalize the video path delays at the frame grabber.  Contact us for more information…

Need RS-232 access to the camera?  Combine the CLB-501B with an inexpensive adapter for communication support via a standard DB9 RS-232 port.  Also supports communication with the frame grabber and the ability to monitor communication between camera and frame grabber.  Contact us for more information…

Camera and/or Frame Grabber has the mini (HDR/SDR) connector?
This product incorporates the standard (MDR) connector.  Camera Link cables are readily available with the standard (MDR) connector on one end and the mini (HDR/SDR) connector on the other.  Note that the CLB-501B does not support PoCL.

Cable Length Note:

To ensure data integrity, we recommend limiting Camera Link cable length for cameras with high clock frequencies as follows:
 Camera Frequency   Max Cable Length
20-60 MHz 10m
61-79 MHz 7m
80-85 MHz 5m

For example, cables used to connect the camera to the breakout AND the breakout to the frame grabber should be no longer than 5m with an 85 MHz camera.
