CLS-221

CLS-221 Camera Link Simulator (v2.1)
The CLS-221 Camera Link Simulator is an affordable, high-performance video test pattern generator that supports all video formats including those introduced in the new version 2.1 specification.  Fully programmable video timing enables the CLS-221 to mimic the characteristics of almost any camera.  New features include enhanced timing performance, bayer color support, and additional video patterns.  Control is via an RS-232 port, USB, or frame grabber COM port.  The CLS-221 also incorporates the AIA validation test pattern.
The CLS-221 incorporates the standard (larger) MDR connector.  It connects to devices with MDR connectors via standard cables, and to devices with the smaller SDR/HDR connectors via adapting cables.  For a simulator with SDR/HDR connectors and PoCL features please see our sister product CLS-222…
The CLS-221 is very useful for the development and test of Camera Link components and systems, and easy to use with included quick-configuration software…

Cable Length Note:  To ensure data integrity, we recommend limiting Camera Link cable length for appliations with higher interface clock frequencies as follows:

 Clock Frequency   Max Cable Length
61-79 MHz 7m
80-85 MHz 5m

For example, cables used to connect the simulator to the frame grabber should be no longer than 5m with an 85 MHz test pattern.
