CLV-412

CLV-412 Camera Link Video Splitter
Vivid Engineering CLV-412
Vivid Engineering CLV-412
The CLV-412 Camera Link Video Splitter interfaces one Camera Link camera of any configuration (base, medium, full, 80-bit) to up-to four frame grabbers using standard Camera Link cables.  This enables the use of multiple frame grabbers for applications requiring parallel or distributed processing, camera sharing, recording, etc.  One frame grabber acts as master and provides control and communications to the camera.  The remaining frame grabbers receive camera video data only.  The master frame grabber is selectable and may be dynamically changed for applications requiring camera control sharing.

The CLV-412 incorporates high-speed 85 MHz interfaces and supports all Camera Link cameras.  Multiple CLV-412s may be cascaded for large parallel processing systems.

The CLV-412 Camera Link Video Splitter is housed in a sturdy, compact aluminum enclosure.

Camera and/or Frame Grabber has the mini (HDR/SDR) connector?
This product incorporates the standard (MDR) connector.  Camera Link cables are readily available with the standard (MDR) connector on one end and the mini (HDR/SDR) connector on the other.  Note that the CLV-412 does not support PoCL.

Cable Length Note:

To ensure data integrity, we recommend limiting Camera Link cable length for cameras with high clock frequencies as follows:
 Camera Frequency   Max Cable Length
20-60 MHz 10m
61-79 MHz 7m
80-85 MHz 5m

For example, cables used to connect the camera to the splitter AND the splitter to the frame grabber should be no longer than 5m with an 85 MHz camera.
